During month of October, GB1LCT will be on air from Leyland in Lancashire. The station is a tribute to the men and women of Leyland who built and operated the Centurion tanks. Operators Mark, G1PIE, Pam, 2E1HQY and the team, will be transmitting from the side of the Centurion tank. More information about the station is on QRZ.com.

GB0XPL will go on the air on Friday for three days from Paccar Scout Camp north of Slough for the Explode 2013 Scout Camp. Operation will be on 80 to 10m, 6m, 4m, 2m and 70cm

GB4KL will be on the air from the National Trust property Kingston Lacy in Dorset on 14 and 15 September.

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the inception of RAF Fylingdales, GB50FY will be on the air for two weeks from 17 September. Operating on the 20, 30, 40, 80 and 160m bands, this is a CW only station.

The Brecon Amateur Radio Group will be on the air all day on Saturday, 14th September, from Brecon Cathedral.

We will be working 40M SSB 20M SSB and will have a 30M PSK station.

Our callsign will be GB0BRE.

Special event station GB1BBF will get on the air on the 14th and 15th of September for the Black Country Boating Festival. QSL via MX0PPC and LoTW.

GB1SCW will operate from the Shoreham National Coast Watch Institution Station on the 14th and 15th of September, calling attention to the Coastal Watch on the Air event. This is a joint effort with the Worthing and District Amateur Radio Club. QRV on 160-4 metres, all modes. QSL via the bureau and eQSL. Website: www.nci.org.uk/http://www.wadarc.org.uk/

The annual Churches and Chapels on the Air (CHOTA) event will be held on the 14th of September with the purpose to establish radio contacts between churches in Great Britain to further Christian friendship and worldwide companionship. Special event station GB5FY commemorates the golden jubilee of the the Royal Air Force Fylingdales and remembers the 5131 Bomb Disposal Squadron. QRV from the 17th of September 2013 for two weeks. QSL via M1EDF

GB4KL will be on the air from the National Trust property Kingston Lacy in Dorset on 14 and 15 September.

A number of Northern Ireland amateurs will be transmitting from Stormont Castle using callsign GN4KPT today, 15th September. This activation is part of the Castles And Stately Homes On The Air heritage month and will be on air from 9.30am till 5pm on SSB and CW over a number of frequencies, conditions allowing. 2E0NKF will be on the air for Railways on the Air from Middleton Railway, Leeds, on 21 and 22 September from 10am to 5pm.A QSL card is available.

On 20 September, the Norman Lockyer Radio Group will be operating a special event station GB6TOB to celebrate the start of Stage 6 of the Tour of Britain cycle race from the East Devon town of Sidmouth, the stage will start on the stunning Jurassic coastline seafront at Sidmouth. The race brings with it a media circus and the event will be streamed live on TV and radio. Visitors to the town are advised to arrive early to gain the best vantage spots. The special event station will be located at the Norman Lockyer Observatory, 1 mile east of the town. Full details can be found at www.qrz/gb6tob. They welcome visitors to the site, the station will be active on all bands from 0800UTC until 2000UTC.
