Why Can't IOTA be WAB Friendly ?

Post by G0AJH »

I am not really a contest fan but decided to have a go in the IOTA contest as it seemed a good opportunity to work some new islands for WAB. After the contest I looked up all the worked stations on QRZ.COM and found that not a single one listed their WAB square! It would have taken very little effort to include their WAB info on their page. Yesterday I spoke with Ken 'FEX' who kindly filled in some gaps to allow me to claim five new squares. Here is the info I have in case others worked the same stations - and maybe, together, we can fill in some gaps?

GM2T - NM04
MM3I - NS02
MM2N - HY22
M8C - SV91
GM7V - NF75
GM7A - ????
GJ6YB - ????
MU0HTJ - ????
GM3F - ????
G7N - ????
MM3T - ????

Cheers

After contacting the RSGB I received a very nice email from Steve Knowles (Secretary of the RSGB Contests Committee) who has promised that, in future, all UK IOTA Contest Stations will be asked to include WAB details on their QRZ.COM page. I also have WAB info for the following:-

GM7A - NF75 - Gigha Island
GJ6YB - WV65
MU0HTJ - WV38
GM3F - NO76
G7N - SZ49

Cheers
