SOTA/WAB

Post by M1BJR »

Hi gents/ladies,

The 8M 'roach pole' has arrived courtesy of a great eBay seller "Pauls Angling Supplies".
It's going to carry a couple of dipoles probably 40/20m and I'll press the old mobile set, the Yaesu FT100, into use for /P work soon.
I'm not doing any mobile work now as I don't want to butcher up the new E-Class, and to be honest 40m mobile is not 'all that' anyhow.

But, I do fancy some easy SOTA stuff that might also offer some new squares to the group too.
Initially it will be local area stuff, there are some easy hits in Somerset Mendips, and near my parents in Cornwall - Kit Hill etc.
A few of these are close proximity to the car parks, which suits me as I'm a bit lazy these days and the family can grab a picnic too :)

I'll pop the WAB/SOTA activations up as I get involved next month. See you there!
