I now have my old call sign, M5AED, reissued by Ofcom. I would like to change my membership name from "mick ex m5aed" to "M5AED". Have looked at the account details but there seems to be no way to do this. Could an Admin help please ? Thanks

Mick,
Have been told about three years ago unlike other forums they can't do/haven't got access to changing user names.
So if M6PAP ever gets reissued and joins WAB they wont get to log into here with that call sign!!

Pete. Thanks for that. Perhaps I should leave and then rejoin ! Don't you just love technology, we can put man on the moon but not change a name on a web site !

OK duly changed. OFCOM do not re-issue callsigns, other than with the express permission of the previous holder, or a relative if you've popped your clogs!

TNX for that G4IAR, M6 call is theirs (Ofcom) if they want it as not renewed it so thought it would go back in the pot!

No, it won't be re-issued unless you give the say so, so no worries on that score. The only calls that are re-issued are GB ones, and then only if the original holder has not taken the call out again after 24 months have elapsed.
