Mobile Operation

How do mobile users track the change from square to square while mobile?

I would be happier to try more mobile operating if I could have some clue about which square I am in while driving. Using "Grid Reference", say on a cell phone is not very practicable because of the need to keep looking away from the road.

Cheers

Hi Gareth,

I've found Grid Ref on the mobile is as good as any, set to keep the screen on, and with a mobile charge cable to keep it charged, is as good as any method. I also use a Garmin GPSIII to absolutely certain when parked up. Obviously if you're going out on a planned journey for WAB, it helps to have a good look at the map and make mental notes perhaps of key landmarks or junctions close to square boundaries along your planned route, and if you're still driving when you call in, a quick glance at the mobile screen is all it needs.

Drive careful and enjoy the activating.
