WAB squares from Maidenhead Locators

dOES ANY ONE KNOW HOW i CAN DO THIS? i SPENT SOME TIME SEACHING THE WEB BUT NOTHING OBVIOUS SPRUNG UP. Thanks

Hello John,
The simple answer is you can't because there is no compatibility between the two systems. For further reading, take a look at this website http://www.g3npf.co.uk/gridmaps.htm

Unfortunately this can't really be done. A WAB square covers several Maidenhead squares.

Eg SO22 covers:
IO81KU
IO81KV
IO81KW
IO81KX
IO81LU
IO81LV
IO81LW
IO81LX

Even converting the smaller 6 figure Maidenhead to WAB can result in errors as you can rest assured some will overlap.

IO81LX is also in SO32 as well as SO22
