Advice needed - Trigs Tomorrow

I was planning to do some but I understand band conditions were poor today (but I was at work so didn't experience it myself). Tuesday was bad too. If you were on 40m today can you tell me if it was usable please? I don't want to waste my time going up to north Powys if I can't do inter G. Thanks.

Hi John conditions have been terrible dropped out late morning to be honest wouldn't waste you're time but things could change for the better you never know.

You need to keep an eye on this (Chilton):

so you can see how the critical frequencies are going. At the time of posting it's on the rise and is above 7 MHz - higher than this time yesterday. Summer condx can be hit and miss. It doesn't take much to knock the critical frequency below 7 MHz. This could subconsciously be the reason we head to Scotland on our summer jaunts, we're not at such a disadvantage with the long skip!
