GB50WAB

Post by g4iar »

We are pleased to say following successful(ish) negotiations by Geoff, G7GJU with OFCOM, that we can offer the following date slots to the membership. We would have liked there to have been more, shorter periods, but a two-week block was the shortest period we were allowed – we did manage to talk OFCOM down from 28 days.

We ask that you remember that this is an opportunity to use this prestigious callsign to spread the word about WAB and that it not be used extensively on non-conversational data modes.

As working this callsign is an integral part of one of our anniversary awards, you will need to have a reasonable signal on the LF bands for the membership to be able to work you.

You should also be able to commit for a good portion of the time slot and operate from one location only during this period. This latter bit is important as you will need to register yourself with OFCOM and can only register one location. Assistance will be given on how to do this.

A copy of the log in Excel format should be submitted to Geoff, G0GWY for paper QSL purposes and also to Steve, G6TEL in ADIF format for eQSL purposes.

Please contact Geoff, G7GJU at g7gju@worked-all-britain.org.uk with your requests and availability. He will do is best to accommodate requests, but please bear in mind that this may not be possible due to constraints put upon us.

The slots are:

Tuesday 12th February To Monday 25th February
