I agree with the above comments the use of /a is useful to tell the station you work that you are not at the address that is in the
callbook.
so as the call g4/g7wab are club calls with no fixed address /a is not of any use

I suggest some reading of basic propagation, signal strengths are less, effects of solar flares, are worse during the spring/summer months due to longer daylight hours, increasing the d layer absorption

hi Damian to continue your analogy of yacht racing when there is no wind, they delay or cancel racing , but unfortunately when we have no propagation we cant cancel so I would have thought the committee should organise contests to take place when propagation has the best chance of being good. there ...

Thanks for your support Mark, first reaction from our contest manager under topic NEWS is that he has had lots of entries so conditions could not be that bad it could have been much better, if the conditions were good poor conditions seem to effect certain areas of the country differently conditions...
