WAB presentation material - is there any?
I have been nominated to do a WAB presentation at my Club (Caithness Amateur Radio Society - MS0FNR). I was wondering if anyone has some presentation material available that I could use and possibly build on? I would then be happy to further share once complete. Anything, including posters or pamphl...

Re: Advice on mobile antenna set-up....
Thanks David, Thanks for the advice, I am very wary of using a mag-mount and traveling tbh. I am also looking for feedback on what antenna people are using for /M operations. I have bought an Ampro 40m mobile antenna (no mounting arrangement as yet, hence this thread) but am interested in what other...

Advice on mobile antenna set-up....
As a (reasonably) keen /P operator, I enjoy the WAB net, activating squares when I can. I currently have to stop, set up my /P dipole on a telescopic painters pole and get on air. To date, this has been reasonably successful and my WAB log is filling up.... I have however, when doing this, logged a ...

Re: Fruitless attempt at activating coastal squares
Dave, We didn't meet last year when you were visiting Caithness but maybe this year. I think I read somewhere you are doing Duncansby and Dunnett Head Lighthouses again this year - if that's correct, I will make the effort to visit and put a face to the name. I will be at Noss Head with the Caithnes...

Fruitless attempt at activating coastal squares
Went out this morning to try to activate 5 or 6 coastal squares around Caithness.
Contest, Special Event Stations and conditions conspired to make it a poor attempt.....
Maybe at this time of year, it's better to try things mid-week.
Thoughts?
Or am I being a bit naive?

Coastal & Tidal Award - missing square?
I was planning my 'assault' on activating some Coastal / Tidal squares and noticed square ND23 is not on the list.
An oversight I'm sure; can I just add it to my own spreadsheet?
Thanks
Alistair
