Change of WAB QSL Manager

Please note that as from 1st February 2021, Esther Harper GI0AZA will be taking over the role of WAB QSL Manager from Geoff Birch G0GWY who is standing down from that role. The committee would like to Geoff for his work and are pleased that Geoff will be remaining on the WAB Committee.

Re: Future of this Forum

Fortunately the forum doesn't require much administration (except manually blocking all the attempted signups from spam activity), and it isn't an additional financial burden, but it would be nice to see it get a little more activity.

Future of this Forum

With increased use of Social Media (Facebook, Yahoo reflector, WABReporter etc.) this forum is seeing less and less activity. Do you want it to continue, or should it be retired?

Discussion over to you...!

Thanks and 73,

Potential backup 80m WAB Net frequency

Please see the thread in the 'Discussion' section regarding researching a possible backup 80m Net frequency. If you have any comments, it would be useful if you could make them on the 'Discussion' section thread, not this one, to ensure all information is kept in one thread. Thank you. 73, Kev G0AKH

SC16 Isle Of Man activation

The Isle of Man Amateur Radio Society (IOMARS) will be QRV from SC16 on Saturday and Sunday 16/17 August using the call sign GT1IOM/P at the request of the Port Erin branch of the British Legion. They haven’t had time to apply for a special call, so the club call will be used from this “rare” square...
