President's Report
- Mentioned lack of stations willing to take on duties of net controller.
- Future consideration of net frequencies may be required due to increasing interference.
Secretary's Report
- Updated meeting on the situation regarding G1NTW’s reflector.
- Confirmed location of the next A.G.M. – Elvaston Castle Rally, Derby.
- Discussed some suggestions made by members regarding activity.
Treasurer's Report
- Excess of income over expenditure increased by £1458 in period since last meeting.
- Provision of replacement printer for newsletter had cost £217.
- New Maps/QSL Cards had been purchased at a cost of £209.
- Income from awards had increased to £251 which exceeded the total already for last year by £77.
- Book sales up by over £40 already.
- Dividend from G1NTW's legacy investment is just over £2907.
Membership Secretary's Report
- 79 books sold comprising 27 books (actual) 12 CD’s and 40 Book numbers.
- List of Lights Licence (N.A.T.S. Award) had been renewed.
Award Manager's Report
- 106 awards had been issued in the period.
- A link from the W.A.B. web site will be provided to publicise an RNLI event next year.
- The ‘Portable Only’ award suggestion will not be progressed – provision already exists.
- Rules for the ‘Winter Award’ to remain as promulgated.
Contest Manager's Report
- Expressed disappointment at the general lack of interest shown by members.
- HF Phone contest to revert to 24 hours.
- VHF/UHF CW & Data modes contest to be dropped – no entries.
- Dates for contests 2007 as follows:
- Top Band Phone - 13 January, 1900–2300 hours
- LF CW & Data modes - 6 May
- LF Phone - 20 May
- 70Mhz Phone - 3 June
- 50Mhz Phone - 15 June, 0900-1500 hours
- 144Mhz QRO - 24 June
- 144Mhz QRP - 9 September
- 432MHz Phone - 7 October (Coincides with RSGB 70cms contest)

News Letter Editor's Report
Rallies Co-ordinator's Report
- Reported a stable but satisfactory situation with rallies attended.
- Expressed some concern at the difficulties sometimes encountered with transferring stock.
- Thanked all those who had assisted throughout the year.
Internet Co-ordinator's Report
- W.A.B. Spots page to remain suspended.
Boundary Changes Co-ordinator's Report
- Highlighted a small anomaly uncovered with the regions in Scotland – Resolved no action.
Publicity Officer's Report
- To send contest dates calendar to RSGB for publication.
- Reminder of the long ‘lead in’ times required by publications.
A.G.M. 2007
- Banner for use on marquee to be purchased.
WAB-IT
- G0AKH to revisit problems with installer program for Windows XP when opportunity presents itself.
40th Anniversary of W.A.B.
- Suggestions to mark this event in 2 years time solicited.
Web Site
- Awards to be categorised as ‘Introductory’ and ‘Advanced’ to help newcomers.
W.A.B. Books
- With immediate effect the price of books will be reduced to £5 when purchased at rallies
£6 by post, £10 or equivalent Overseas/Europe. Book number only £3.
Committee Expenses
- To reflect fuel cost only, at 10p per mile.
2m Nets
- Run on 144.345MHz at 2030hrs each Friday and also at 1030hrs Sunday.
