2022 marks the Platinum Jubilee of the reign of Queen Elizabeth II. The Queen's Platinum Jubilee Award is issued by the W.A.B. Awards Group to commemorate the occasion.

The award will be open to all and will be available on all modes and all frequencies.

The squares and members elements of this award may again this year be worked monthly for credit. The credit for any squares, and members not counted in the monthly round down will be carried forward to the next month.

Contacts with xx70 Squares, Islands, Large Squares and with the W.A.B. club calls also form part of the award.

The initial certificate will be awarded for 10 points with endorsements for each subsequent 10. A new certificate and trophy will be awarded for each multiple of 70 points.

All contacts must be made within the 2022 calendar year, i.e. 1st January - 31st December 2022.

Points - UK HF

• 1 point each 35 squares. The same square may be worked each month for credit
• 1 point each 35 members. The same member may be worked each month for credit
• 1 point each 5 Large Squares during the year
• 1 point each 5 Islands during the year
• 1 point each "70" Square during the year, e.g. C70, NC70, SK70
• 1 point each W.A.B. club callsign (Gx4WAB, Gx7WAB, Gx3ABG). The callsigns may be worked each month for credit. Due to licence conditions, only full licence holders may use the club callsigns.

There is a mandatory requirement of at least 35 Squares per stage to the first Trophy.

Points - Others (EU HF, Data Modes)

• 2 points each 35 squares. The same square may be worked each month for credit
• 2 points each 35 members. The same member may be worked each month for credit
• 2 points each 5 Large Squares during the year
• 2 points each 5 Islands during the year
• 2 points each "70" Square during the year, e.g. C70, NC70, SK70
• 2 points each W.A.B. club callsign (Gx4WAB, Gx7WAB, Gx3ABG). The callsigns may be worked each month for credit.

Points - Others (UK VHF, Outside EU, Activated)

• 1 point each 10 squares. The same square may be worked/activated each month for credit
• 1 point each 10 members. The same member may be worked/activated each month for credit
• 1 point each Large Square worked/activated during the year
• 1 point each Island worked/activated during the year
• 5 points each "70" Square worked/activated during the year, e.g. C70, NC70, SK70
• 5 points each W.A.B. club callsign (Gx4WAB, Gx7WAB, Gx3ABG). The callsigns may be worked/activated each month for credit.

There is a mandatory requirement of at least 10 Squares per stage to the first Trophy.

For the activated category, members worked and W.A.B. club callsigns worked/activated will count towards the award. The club call must be worked/activated other than at the usual QTH of the station.

Trophies will be presented at the W.A.B. A.G.M. and claims for such must reach the Awards Manager by the end of February preceding the A.G.M.
