The W.A.B. Awards Group draws your attention to the fact that some of the W.A.B. Squares listed in these books may be difficult to activate. Other squares may lie on private land. Activation of squares may require members to be in possession of certain physical skills and be in a good state of physical fitness and health. When proposing to activate a difficult square, members are advised to consult the relevant local organisation (e.g. the Coastguard or Mountain Rescue Services). Where a square lies on private land, members are advised to seek permission from the owners before attempting to activate the square.
